Karen Myers, 73, of Kendallville, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022, in Kendallville.
She was born on March 1, 1949, in Decatur, to the late Carl & Claudine (Gallogly) Noll. She spent her formative years in Decatur and graduated from Decatur High School. She later received her Registered Nursing License from St. Joseph School of Nursing.
Karen was married on May 26, 1968, to Brad Myers, at the St. Marks Methodist Church in Decatur. He preceded her in death on September 13, 2018.
Karen was a RN and served in different communities throughout her career. Karen had previously lived and served the communities of Fort Wayne, Portland, Churubusco, and Albion.
She was a member of the Churubusco United Methodist.
She loved spending time floating in the lake, laughing with her family, and telling stories even if they weren’t true. She enjoyed a good BBQ, candy corn, Bens pretzels, and sneaking chocolates. She also enjoyed sewing and her coloring books when she wasn’t spending time with her family.
Karen is survived by two sons, Brian (Les Russell) Myers and Timothy (Terri) Myers; a daughter, Dawn (Greg) Dykstra; two brothers, Tom (Shirley) Noll and Bob Noll; six grandchildren, Douglas (Jen)Bier, David Bier, Lucas Gurski, Alyssa Dykstra, Aowyn Myers and Ashlynn Myers; four great-grandchildren, Quinn, Sophia, Charlee, and Callum.
Funeral Services will take place at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Huntertown Chapel, on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. with calling beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Burial taking place at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
Memorials may be directed to the Noble County Humane Shelter.
