Agnes Scott

Agnes Irene Scott, of Huntertown, passed away at 2:45 a.m., on Monday, January 28, 2019, at The Cedars in Leo. Agnes was born in Huntertown to the late, Henry and Laura (Eby) Byerley. She spent her formative years in Huntertown and attended Huntertown High School. She was married to Carroll Scott. He preceded her in death on December 20, 1985. Agnes spent the early years of her adult life raising her children. Later she worked at Peerless Cleaners until her retirement. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and taking care of family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff at The Cedars and Heart to Heart Hospice for the care of their mom. Agnes is survived by her son, Stan Scott; her daughter, Stacey (Chip) Seidel; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and spouse, she is preceded by; three brothers, Eugene Byerley, Clifton Byerley and Richard Byerley; three sisters, Josephine Fosnaugh, Hilda Spangle and Martha Aven-Folken. Services will take place at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on Thursday, January 31, 2019, at 12:00 p.m., with calling two hours prior to the service.
