Alan Neireiter

Alan Keith Neireiter, Sr., 68, of Woodburn, passed away on August 11, 2021, at Kingston Care Center in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, on February 22, 1953, to the late George and Hillis (Wearley) Neireiter. He spent his formative years in Fort Wayne, graduating from Southside High School. Alan was married to Jeanne Nash in Fort Wayne, on October 30, 1971. He worked at Home Lumber as a Yard Foreman for 44 years, retiring on September 11, 2015. His love for driving truck carried over into his retirement, he delivered oranges and citrus juice to the market for Joshua's Citrus in Florida. Alan was a member of the St. Joseph United Methodist Church in Fort Wayne. He also belonged to a couple of RV Clubs, the FMCA and the FCOC. In his free time, he enjoyed camping, Rving, racing & watching racing, and building things. Alan is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jeanne Neireiter; three sons, Alan (Jadean) Neireiter Jr., Adam (Kathy) Neireiter, and Andrew (Rebecca) Neireiter; his brother, George (Peggy) Neireiter; two sisters, Darlene Neireiter and Joann (Kerry) Umber; his grandchildren, Jared, Alexis, Mercedes, Colten, Wyatt, Destiny, Daphney, John, Taylor, and Kimberly. Services will take place at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel, on Monday, August 16, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. The family will also receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, August 15, 2021, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. Memorials to Churubusco American Legion Post #157.
