Alma L. Fritz

Alma L. Fritz, age 82, of Churubusco, passed away on November 1, 2026, at Parkview Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Fort Wayne, to the late Dennie and Hattie (Felger) Auld. Alma spent her early years in Arcola and graduated from Arcola High School in 1962. She continued her education at International Business College, which helped prepare her for a successful career in business. She was the proud owner of L & S Equipment and later became a valued partner at Broadway Cleaners.

On October 26, 1963, Alma married Robert "Bob" Fritz, Jr., at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake Township. They shared many years together until his passing on May 7, 2019.

Alma was a devoted mother and grandmother who treasured time spent with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. She enjoyed family gatherings and fishing, finding great happiness in the simple moments spent with those she loved.

Surviving are her two daughters, Rhonda Sue (Richard) Rodenbaugh and Sheryl Noles; grandchildren, Amber and Chase Noles; brothers, Gordon (Judy) Auld and Warren (Gloria) Auld; brother-in-law, Gene Bender; and sister-in-law, Jean Auld.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Fritz, Jr.; her parents, Dennie and Hattie Auld; and siblings, Clyde Auld, Edith Hackett, Earl Auld, Vera Fairchild, Doris Bender, Jerry Auld, and James Auld.

A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, November 6, 2026, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake Township, with calling one hour prior to the service.

The family will also recieve family and friends at the church on Thursday, November 5, 2026, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Burial will take place the Eel River Cemetery, Churubusco.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Riley Children's Hospital in memory of Alma.
