Alverda "Bine" Fogle

Alverda "Bine" Fogle, 91, of Churubusco, passed away at 3:00 a.m. on Monday, September 26, 2016 at University Park Nursing Home in Fort Wayne. Mrs. Fogle was born on September 27, 1924 in Green Township, a daughter of Forest A. and Hazel (Pippenger) Geiger. She spent her formative years in Green Township, and graduated from Churubusco High School. On April 4, 1946 she was married in Fort Wayne to Dailey M. Fogle. She was employed at Smith-Green Community Schools, and retired in 1987 after 15 years. Mrs. Fogle was a member of Good News Baptist Church. Her spouse preceded her in death on May 14, 2013. The surviving relatives include her son, William L. Fogle of Fort Wayne; two grandsons, Zachary Fogle and Travis (Jessica) Fogle both of Fort Wayne; and a great grandson Malcolm Fogle. In addition to her parents and spouse, she was preceded in death by her three brothers, Dwight Geiger, Ervin Geiger, and Allen Geiger; two sisters, Marcella Baughman and Lavelda Zurzulo. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco with Pastor Rick Van Horn, officiating. The family will receive friends at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery, Allen County.
