Amy Smith

Amy C. Smith, age 42, a former resident of Blue Lake, Churubusco,e died Tuesday November 3, 2009 at the Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.e She had been ill for several years but her death was unexpected. Amy was born August 22, 1967 in Fort Wayne, a daughter of David and Jeanne (Klein) Short.e She spent her childhood years in Fort Wayne and was a 1986 graduate of Snider High School.e She was employed as a CNA at the Sunrise Assisted Living Center in Fort Wayne for four years. Survivors include her mother Jeanne Short of Fort Wayne; her father and step-mother David and Sally Short of Fort Wayne;e two sons Nicholas D. Smith of Fort Wayne and Lucas H. Smith of Churubusco; a granddaughter Chloe E. Smith of Fort Wayne, a brother Todd (Pam) Short of Phoenix, Arizona;e her sister Lisa (Tony) Lucio of Fort Wayne; and maternal grandmother Rosalyn Klein of Carmel. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Howard and Gladys Short; and her maternal grandparents Kenneth Klein, and Catherine and Roy Beard. Funeral services will be held on Sunday November 8, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. in the Sheets and Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco, Indiana with Mr. David Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverview Cemetery ,e Allen County. The family will recieve friends on Saturday from 12:00 noon until 5:00 p. m. , and on Sunday from noon until service time.
