Andrew K. Pippenger, 91, of Sugar Land, Texas passed away on Wednesday, April 20,
2016 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Sugar Land, TX.
Mr. Pippenger was born on July 6, 1924 in Algoa, Arkansas, a son of Ed and May Belle
(McDonald) Pippenger. He spent his early years in Algoa, Arkansas, grew up around
Weiner, Arkansas and ultimately moved to Fort Wayne, IN in 1942.
He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He also served in the
National Guard.
On January 1, 1946, he married Edith Baker.
He was employed at Essex Wire, and retired in 1986 after 41 years.
Even at the age of 91, he was diligent about following what was going on in the world,
and he would voice his opinions frequently.
His spouse preceded him in death in 1980.
The surviving relatives include three sons: David K. Pippenger and his wife, Joan F.
Pippenger of Sugar Land, TX, Charles Pippenger of Okeechobee, FL and Dennis
Pippenger of Fort Wayne, IN.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by brothers William
Pippenger, Benjamin Pippenger and a sister Ella Clifton.
