Anna Fulk

Anna Belle Fulk, 84, a resident of Kendallville for the past 11 years and formerly of Green Township in Noble County, passed away at 10:30 a. m. on Saturday, July 9, 2011, at her home.e She had been in failing health for the past month. Mrs. Fulk was born in Noble County on November 6, 1926.e She was raised by her grandmother Carilla Mae Ott and her uncle Carl Ott,e and graduated from Churubusco High School in 1944.e On July 10, 1945 she was married in Fort Wayne to Robert N. Fulk.e The couple moved from their home in Green Township in 1979 to High Lake where they lived until moving to Kendallville in 2000. Employed at Silgan Plastics in Ligonier for over 20 years, she retired from there in 1989 as head of the tool crib.e She was a member of the Wolf Lake Baptist Church, ande the Francis Vinyard Veteran's of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary in Kendallville.e A person always ready to go places and do things, she enjoyed sewing, cooking, and hosting family meals.e Most importantly, above all else she loved and cherished her family. Mr. Fulk preceded her in death on May 23, 2004. The surviving relatives include two daughters Joy (Tom) Rose of Albion and Connie (Ronald) Castor of Kendallville; a son Steven R. (Teresa) Fulk of Albion; eight grandchildren Rochelle Widman, Nicole Griffis, Stephanie Rose, Travis Fulk, Chad Fulk, Nathan Castor, Miranda Heitz, and Brandon S. Fulk, whom she helped raise; nine great-grandchildren; and several loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother Milo "Buck" Rider. Funeral services will be held at 10 a. m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco with Rev. Dan Carlson, pastor of Wolf Lake Baptist Church, officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 to 8 p. m. Tuesday at the funeral home, or one hour prior to the service Wednesday morning. Interment will be in the Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam.
