Arthur Resler

Arthur L. Resler, 78, of rural Churubusco, passed away at 8:11 a.m. on Monday, August 1, 2016 at North Ridge Villiage in Albion. Mr. Resler was born on January 18, 1938 in Green Twp, Noble County, a son of Kenneth J. and Fannie (Roberson) Resler. He spent his formative years in Green Twp, and graduated from Churubusco High School in 1956. On December 28, 1958 he was married in Churubusco, to Carol Blessing. He was employed as a photographer for ITT for 42 years and also owned Resler Studio. He also enjoyed farming on the side. Mr. Resler was a member of Charter Oak Community Church and the Churubusco Lions Club. Arthur serviced as a Past District Governor for the Lions Club and also received the Melvin Jones Award. He also is a 30 year member of the Professional Photographers of America. The surviving relatives include his wife, Carol Resler of Churubusco; two sons, Greg (Jenny) Resler and Kert (Julie) Resler both of Churubusco; a brother, Clarence (Ruth) Resler of Churubusco; five grandchildren, Josh (Amy) Resler, Danny Resler, Jackson Resler, Makenzie Resler, Faith Resler; two step-grandsons, Ethan and Owen Beam; and three foster great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Charter Oak Community Church, with Pastor Aaron Peer, officiating. The family will receive friends at the Charter Oak Community Church from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, followed by a Lions Club Memorial, or one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam. For those who wish, memorials may be directed to Charter Oak Community Church or Churubusco Lions Club.
