Barbara Mascho

Barbara E. Mascho, 67, a resident of rural Churubusco, died at 10:15 p. m. on Friday, March 14, 2008 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. She had been in declining health since Christmas, had entered the hospital on Monday. Mrs. Mascho was born on August 20, 1940 in Steinhatchee, Florida, a daughter of David Franklin and Bessie Mae (Stephens) Gentry. As an adult she moved to Fort Wayne, and had lived at her home north of Churubusco since 1987. She had retired from Raytheon (formerly Magnavox) after 30 years. Her marriage took place in Kingsland, Georgia on July 8, 1975 to Gerald A. "Jerry" Mascho. He survives. Also surviving is her daughter Jana Vachon of Churubusco; a son Marty (Alicia) Peacock of Monroeville; five grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. At the request of the family, there will be private family services at a later date. Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco is in charge of the arrangements.
