Benjamin Sowles

Benjamin D. Sowles, 31, of Fort Wayne, passed away on January 13, 2022, at his residence. He was born in Muncie, on May 14, 1990, to Greg S. and Kathy (Witzig) Sowles. He spent his formative years in Allen County, graduating from Woodland High School in 2009. Ben worked at Clarios in Fort Wayne for 5 years and really appreciated his ability to have the variety in his work experiences there. Ben's hobbies included working on cars, off road ATV, and how deer hunting allowed him to appreciate the creation. When he was in high school, he most enjoyed when he wrestled and played soccer. Ben is survived by his parents; two sisters, Rachel (Tyler) Sowles-Muehl and Janae Sowles; one brother, Gabe Sowles; maternal grandparents, Robert and Norma Witzig and paternal grandmother, Nancy Sowles. He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Ronald Sowles. Funeral Services will be held at Sheets and Childs Funeral Home, Huntertown Chapel, 16830 Lima Road Huntertown, IN 46748 on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., with calling one hour prior to service. Family will also receive friends at the Huntertown Funeral Home on Monday, January 17, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Burial will be in Waterloo Cemetery.
