Bettina "Tina" Worthman

Bettina W. "Tina" Worthman, 81, of New Haven and formerly of Fort Wayne, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 12:23 p.m. peacefully at her home. She was born on January 22, 1933 in Fort Wayne, to William and Louise (White) Einhorn. She spent her formative years in Fort Wayne and graduated from Northside High School in 1951. On June 16, 1951 she was married to Jack Worthman. He preceded her in death on November 14, 2013. She was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church, and volunteered for the Fort Wayne Christmas Bureau and for C.A.S.A. She was also a foster parent to several children. Serviving relatives include sons, Jeffery R. Worthman of St. Croix and Martin L. (Donna) Worthman of New Haven; daughters, Lisa L. Chiddister of Fort Wayne, Alice L. (Fritz) Martin of Columbia City, and Faith E. (Craig) Wise of Grabill; sisters Virgina (Joseph) Laudadio of Fort Wayne and Linda Wilkie of Lafayette; 11 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren Memorial services will be held at 6:00 pm Thursday at Plymouth Congregational Church, 501 W. Berry Street. Dr. John P. Gardner, officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm Thursday, May 1, 2014. Arrangements by Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco.
