Betty Jones

Betty R. Jones, 86, of Churubusco, passed away on May 31, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born in Belle Rive, Illinois on August 29, 1930, she was the daughter of Roy and Leila Mae (Waggoner) Taylor. She was married on July 5, 1969 to George W. Jones. He preceded her in death. She retired from DeKalb Feed in Rockfalls, Illinois. After that she worked for Barton's Glass and Paint in Dyer, Indiana. Betty was a board member of the Illinois Artisan Program, Past President of the Schererville Women's Club, and the American Quilters Socity. Betty is survived by her daughter, Lynda Jones of Churubusco; her son, Roy (Diane) Jones of Dixon, Illinois; two grandsons Brian (Chelsie) Jones and Aaron Jones; a granddaughter, Stephanie (Robert) Sevenberg; seven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Visiting hours will take place at Pate Funeral Home in Benton, Ill on Thursday, June 8, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Graveside services will begin at 2:45 PM, at Liberty Cemetery in Macedonia, Illinois, on June 8, 2017.
