Beverly Grote

Beverly N. Grote, 87, a resident of St. Joe, passed away at 12:56 p.m. on April 29, 2017 at Parkview regional Medical Center. Born in Fort Wayne on April 25, 1930, she was a daughter of William and Thelma (Carnes) Barnes. She spent her formative years in Fort Wayne graduating from South Side High School. She belonged to the Fort Wayne Kennel Club. She enjoyed raising and showing dogs. Beverly is survived by two sons, David (Joni) Grote of Fort Wayne and Fritz (Doris) Grote of New Haven; her daughter, Gretchen Kelly; a daughter-in-law, Sopie Grote of Fort Wayne; a brother, Robert (Susan) Barnes of Port Richey, Fl; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and a son Steven "Zute" Grote. Graveside services will be held at a later date, Lindenwood Cemetery.
