Beverly Harris

Beverly Ann Harris, 85, of Churubusco, passed away on February 21, 2022, at her home. She was born in Whitley County, on April 26, 1936, to the late Ralph and Mildred (Decker) Lefever. She spent her formative years in Churubusco and attended Churubusco High School. She worked at Dana, Churubusco, for 27 years. After her retirement, she worked for Walmart for 15 years. She enjoyed crafting and shopping for crafting things. Beverly is survived by her three children, Monica Maloney, James (Brenda) Johnson, and Ron Johnson; her adoptive daughter, Dawn Handschy; two sisters, Peggy Thompson and Karen (Roger) King; two brothers, Robert (Linda) Lefever and Ralph (Brenda) Lefever; a sister-in-law, Agnus Lefever; two grandchildren, Christopher Johnson and Jessica Johnson; a great-grandson, Selevin Johnson; three fur grandchildren, Honcho, Manny, and Niko. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry and John Lefever; a sister, Kathy Lefever. Services will take place at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel, on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at 6:00 p.m., with calling from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Memorials to the family C/O Sheets & Childs Funeral Home.
