Billy J. Fast, 89, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025, in the care of Cornerstone Hospice in Oxford, Florida.
A beloved son of Cecelia and John Fast was born on October 1, 1935. Bill lived a life of service to the Lord, devoted to bringing others into His kingdom. He found joy in volunteering and faithfully served as an usher and board member at his church. Known for his generous spirit, he was always ready to share candy and cookies with children and adults alike, spreading kindness wherever he went.
In 2023, Bill moved to Florida to be closer to his family. He lived with his daughter and son-in-law before deciding to try assisted living, where he thrived. True to his nature, he quickly became known as "the candy man" to everyone he met, continuing his life of generosity and joy.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Linda (Greg) Kolakoski; his sons, Curtis Fast, Timothy Fast, and Billy Jr. Fast. He was a proud grandfather to Josie (Mike) Seckman, Jon (Sharick) Butler, Megan (Tyler) Grady, and Heather Fast.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shelvy; his daughter, Angela Fast; and his grandson, Cody Fast.
