Bonnie Spoerke

Bonnie Spoerke, 83, of Columbia City, passed away on December 1, 2025. She was born on March 11, 1942, in Fort Wayne, to Maltha M. Burk. Bonnie was a lifelong resident of Noble and Whitley Counties and was educated at Wolf Lake School. Bonnie married Paul H. Spoerke on November 2, 1968, in Columbia City. He preceded her in death on March 11, 2008. She worked diligently for Weatherhead for 12 years and later retired from Magnavox in 1990. Following her retirement, she worked for her son Rex at Fibre Form. Bonnie's dedication to her work was only surpassed by her commitment to her family and friends. Bonnie is survived by her sons, Rex Coverstone, Jeffrey Coverstone, and Dennis Coverstone; four grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Maltha Burk. A burial will take place at a later date in the Sparta Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Community Harvest Food Bank. Sheets & Childs Funeral Home has been entrusted with these arrangements.
