Carlos Lee Taylor, Sr., passed away on January 8, 2025, at Parkview Regional Hospital in Fort Wayne.
He was born in Hazard, KY on March 17, 1958, to the late Archie Lee and Jacqueline Taylor. As a child his family relocated to this area, and he spent his formative years in Coesse.
Carlos was a devoted husband, father, and friend who touched many lives with his kind spirit and jovial nature. He was married to his lovely wife, Angela P. Taylor, on July 2, 1989, and together they raised a beautiful family. With a career spanning three decades in maintenance work for BRC Rubber and Plastic, Carlos retired in 2020, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication.
Carlos was known for his love of playing pool, fishing, and karaoke, always being the life of the party. He was also known for his skilled hands, often found tinkering with something or another.
He is survived by his wife, Angela; their children, Angela Jo (Patrick) Pender, Kelly Lee (Carmon) Egner, Amber Lee (Mark) Archer, Brandy Lee (Lance) Pulley, and Carlos Lee Taylor, Jr "C.J."; 20 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Zola Showalter, David Taylor, Gary Taylor, and Violeta Taylor.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel, with calling one hour prior to the funeral.
The family will also receive family and friends at the funeral home on Monday, January 13, 2025, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Burial will follow at Eel River Cemetery, Churubusco.
