Carol Young

Carol Sue Young, 65, of Albion, passed away at 8:45 pm on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Parkview Oaks in Columbia City. Ms. Young was born on September 8, 1948 in Wolf Lake, a daughter of Lloyd T. and Ruth Anna (Brown) Young. She spent her formative years in Green Township, and graduated from Churubusco High School. She worked on the family farm and Chain - O - Lakes State Park. Ms. Young was a member of Blue River Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed reading, cross stitching, knitting, mowing, and tending to the garden. She is survived by her mother Ruth Anna Young of Columbia City; several cousins She was preceded in death by her father Lloyd T. Young and a brother, John S. Young. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, with Pastor Craig Alan Myers, officiating. The family will receive friends at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00pm to 8:00 p.m. Friday, or one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam. For those who wish, memorials may be directed to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana. *******************************************
