Carolyn Keesling

Carolyn Sue Keesling, 81, of Churubusco, passed away on September 25, 2021, at her residence. Carolyn was born in Anderson, IN, on February 18, 1940, to the late Harvey and Fern (Buchanan) Burton Sr. She graduated from Markleville High School in 1958. Carolyn attended Parkview Nazarene Church. She was a preschool teacher for many years, and was a foster mother for 53 years. She enjoyed camping, crafts, reading, music and mostly her family. Carolyn married Marvin R. Keesling on August 21, 1959, in Markleville, IN. She worked at Park Place Daycare for many years. Carolyn is survived by her children, Randall (Cheryl) Keesling, Catherine (Stan) Dowell, Deborah Mark and James Adams; her grandchildren, Emily (Ken Bishop) Bratton, Stephanie (Scott) Quear, Sam (Michelle) Hartley, Kaylee Keesling, Joseph (Allison) Pence, Sara (Joseph) LaVergne, Lisa (Alex) Overstreet, Christopher (Kaitlin) Mark and Skylar Mark; six great-grandchildren; several others that called her mom through the years. She was preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters and son-in-law, Richard Mark. Celebration of life service at a later date. Memorials to Whitley County Diabetes.
