Carolyn Ann Strite, 72, a resident of rural Churubusco at Blue Lake and wife of Robert H. Strite, passed away at 4:06 p. m. on Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne from the results of injuries sustained an auto accident in Churubusco earlier in the day. Mrs. Strite was born in Fort Wayne on January 2, 1941, a daughter of Walter and Viola (Myers) France. She spent her formative years there, and graduated from Central High School in 1959. She later entered nurses training at Lutheran Hospital, and completed her education from the nursing program at Kansas State University. On April 23, 1960 she was married in Fort Wayne to Robert H. After returning to Allen County she worked in a medical office and moved with her husband from Huntertown to Blue Lake in 1995. In her leisure time she enjoyed sewing, quilting, crafts, and most especially loved and cherished her family. The surviving relatives include her husband Robert "Bob"; her children Kimberly (John) Jordan of Rolling Prairie, Mark (Julie) Strite of Las Vegas, Diana (Juan Lopez) of Churubusco, and Erik Strite of Prattsburg, New York; her brother Joseph (Sheila) France of Rome City; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters Nancy France and Dorothy "Jane" France. At the request of the family there will be no public funeral service or calling hours. Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco is in charge of the arrangements. *************************
