Catherine Fisher

Catherine Fisher, 92, of Columbia City, passed away on February 27, 2020, at Parkview Whitley Hospital. Born in Indianapolis, on October 10, 1927, to the late John and Rose (Herman) Fisher. She spent her formative years in Marion and Churubusco. She worked at Burger King and Passages Workshop from 1990 to 2010. She spent the majority of her time at Lee's Inn in Columbia City. Cathy was a fun-loving, happy person all the time, always wearing a smile on her face. She was involved in any activity or group even if she was just observing. She enjoyed her outings over the years with her friend, Mark where they would go for lunch at Richards. Her meal of choice was meatloaf and mashed potatoes. She loved to go shopping and loved to buy t-shirts for all holidays or ones with animals on them, coordinating them with her colorful socks. Before it became too much for her, Cathy loved to work on word searches for long periods of time. While Cathy lived at Miller's Merry Manor, she enjoyed zoo outings, carnival outings, baseball games and of course shopping. Catherine is survived by her close friend, Mark Walls. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Mabel Fisher; a brother, Edwin Fisher. Services will take place at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on Thursday, March 5, 2020, at 12:00 p.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Burial taking place at South Park, Columbia City.
