Charles F. Rollins, 81, of Churubusco, passed away at 6:46 p.m. on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Parkview Hospital Randallia in Fort Wayne. Mr. Rollins was born on February 5, 1934 in Churubusco, a son of Marvin and Florence (Deck) Rollins. On June 29, 1984 he was married in Allen County to Betty (Heffelfinger) Geiger. Following high school Mr. Rollins served his country in the United States Navy. He was employed at Dana Weatherhead Division in Columbia City, and retired in 1996 after 28 1/2 years Mr. Rollins was a lifetime member of both the Gilbert Davis American Legion Post 157 and the Churubusco Veteran's of Foreign Wars Turtle Post 3846. His spouse preceded him in death on May 3, 2008. The surviving relatives include a daughter, Debra L. Geiger of Churubusco; a son, Richard (Wilda) Geiger of Fort Wayne; two brothers, Clyde Rollins of Churubusco and Eddie Rollins of Ligonier; a sister, Patricia Perkins of Ligonier; three grand children and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Marvin and Florence (Deck) Rollins; four brothers Ross E., Clayton, Alfred, and Robert Rollins; three sisters, Elizabeth Carolyn Shelmadine, Phyllis Born, and Letha Born. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, with Pastor Tim Grable, officiating. The family will receive friends at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, or one hour prior to the service. Burial with military graveside rites will be in the Eel River Cemetery, Allen County. For those who wish, memorials may be directed to Gilbert Davis American Legion Post 157 in Churubusco. **********************************************
