Cheryl Marie Bracht, 74, formerly of Huntertown and most recently of Laotto, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus and reunited with her daughter on April 8, 2026, at Parkview Hospice.
She was born on November 16, 1951, in Auburn, to the late Billie and Maxine (Brown) Romine.
Cheryl was a faithful and devoted member of Lifehouse Community Church for more than 54 years, where her kindness, compassion, and steady presence touched countless lives.
On June 18, 1971, Cheryl married the love of her life, Timothy Allen Bracht, at Huntertown Methodist Church. Together, they built a life rooted in faith, family, and enduring love, sharing 54 beautiful years of marriage.
Cheryl dedicated more than 50 years to caring for others as a nurse, serving in a variety of specialties and leadership roles. She retired from Avery Dennison as an Occupational Health and Safety nurse. She took great pride in her profession and in lifelong learning, earning both a bachelor's degree in health administration and a master's degree in occupational health and safety. Above all, Cheryl was deeply devoted to her family.
She is survived by her loving husband, Timothy Allen Bracht; her sons, Brent Allen (Katie) Bracht and Paul Bartholomew (Cassandra) Bracht; a son-in-law, David Wagner; her sisters, Janet (Larry) and Sarah (John); and her cherished grandchildren, Sarah Bracht-Wagner, Christian Bracht-Wagner, Morgan Elaina Bracht, and Malachi Bracht-Wagner.
She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Reverend Melisa Bracht-Wagner.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 13, 2026, at the Lifehouse Community Church in Huntertown, with calling one hour prior.
The family will also host family and friends at the church on Sunday, April 12, 2026, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Burial immediately following at Huntertown/Perry Township Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to City Hope Building Bridges, 904 Maple Street, Burlington, Iowa 52601.
