Clyde Edward Ford, III, 70, of Albion, passed away on September 27, 2025, at his home.
He was born on July 26, 1955, at Luke Air Force Base in Phoenix, AZ, to the late Clyde and Caroline (Lanza) Ford, Jr. He spent his formative years in Fort Wayne and graduated from Northside High School.
Clyde was a devoted husband to Rebecca Ford, whom he married on June 30, 2002. He was a retired Glazer and a retired Respiratory Therapist. Clyde dedicated his professional life to helping others at Parkview Health Systems in Fort Wayne, retiring in 2019 after 25 years of service.
Clyde was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying skeet shooting and gardening. He also raised goats, chickens, guineas, and a duck, which brought him great joy. He was a member of the St. Joe Gun Club. Beyond his hobbies, Clyde was deeply committed to his faith and community. He was a Uganda Missionary with Ray of Hope Medical Missions, traveling with them three times. He was a member of the Fellowship at Wesley Chapel, where he also taught Sunday School.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Rebecca Ford; his children, Sarah (Anthony) Puckett and Justin (Jessica) Gross; his three sisters, Kathleen Rigsby, Sharon (John) Igney, and April (Jon Wheeler) Johnson; his six grandchildren, Tori, Cooper, Lorelei, Oakley, Haisley, and Isla; many nieces and nephews.
Public calling will be held at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel, on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 3, 2025, at the Fellowship of Wesley Chapel in Churubusco, with calling one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be at a later date.
