Clyde A. Rollins, 79, of Churubusco, passed away at 11:14 a.m., on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at Kingston Care Center in Fort Wayne. Born on April 16, 1939, in Churubusco, to the late Marvin and Florence (Deck) Rollins. He spent his formative years in Churubusco. After serving his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, he was married in Churubusco to Mary Helen Ohlwine on September 15, 1962. She preceded him in death on July 29, 2008 He was a lifetime member of the Churubusco American Legion Post 157. He also belonged to the VFW post 3846. Clyde is survived by five children, Rick (Cyndi) Rollins, Vicki (Dave) Hochsteller, Sandy (Max) Herendeen, Tammy (Rob) Crooks, Penny (Pat) Goggin; a brother, Eddie Rollins; 15 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by five brothers, Alfred, Charles, Ross, Clayton and Robert Rollins; four sisters, Carolyn Shelmadine, Phyllis Born, Pat Perkins and Letha Born. Calling will take place at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on Monday, May 7, 2018, from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Services will begin at 7:00 PM, at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on Monday, May 7, 2018. Burial will be at Christian Chapel Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Honor Flight of Northeast Indiana in Clyde's name.
