Craig M. Stephan, known affectionately as "Craigerbomb," 57, of Fort Wayne, passed away on April 12, 2024, at Parkview Randellia.
He was born on August 13, 1966, in Fort Wayne, to Norman and Ruth (Ward) Stephan. He spent his formative years in Fort Wayne and graduated from Northside High School in 1985. He later attended Indiana University.
Craig was a talented and passionate individual, known for his love of music, sports, and the great outdoors. He spent his days serving others at El Azteca, but his heart lay in the strum of his guitar and the melodies he created. For 10 years, Craig brought joy to many as a server, but he truly shined as the lead guitarist for the band Sum Morz. His love for music was not just a hobby, but it was what mattered most to him.
Craig, a lifelong resident of Fort Wayne, was an avid sports fan who held a special place in his heart for the Pacers, Cubs, Colts, and IU Basketball. His love for travel and camping was only surpassed by his love for music. As Craig put it "Life is short, have fun, don't take life to seriously."
Craig is survived by his mother, Ruth Stephan; his friend and companion, Tracy Perrotta; his daughter, Elia Stephan; his brother, Doug (Jo Ann) Stephan; his niece, Alexa (Will) Hatcher; his nephew, Paul (Annie) Stephan.
He is preceded in death by his father, Norman Stephan, on April 18, 2016.
