Daniel James Emrich, 50, of Fort Wayne, passed away on August 20, 2020, at Lutheran Health in Fort Wayne.
Born in Fort Wayne, on March 7, 1970, to James "Jim" and Karen (Gresley) Emrich. He graduated from Carroll High School in 1988. Daniel then attended IPFW and earned his degree in technology followed by earning his bachelors degree in civil engineering at Purdue University. He played in the Purdue marching band from 1990-1995.
Dan was a member of the Fort Wayne Scottish Rite, Shriners, Auburn Community Band and Masonic Lodge #224, Leo. He enjoyed trains, country line dancing and playing his tuba.
He worked as a civil engineer at NUCOR in Waterloo for 20 years.
Daniel is survived by his father, James "Jim" Emrich; three brothers, Brian (Kim) Emrich, David (Ginger) Emrich, Michael (Nirasha) Emrich; a sister, Beth (Daniel) Van Gerpen; a sister-in-law, Lisa Emrich.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Karen Emrich and a brother, Steven Emrich.
Funeral Services will take place at Sheets and Childs Funeral Home, on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, at 12:00 pm.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at the funeral home.
Burial taking place at Fairview Cemetery, Huntertown.
