David Crooks

David L. Cooks Sr. 76, of Churubusco passed away November 18, 2017 at his home. He was born June 24, 1941 in Fort Wayne to the late Patrick and Verna (Hodges) Crooks. He married Cynthia A. Wilson. He graduated from Churubusco High School in 1960. He worked at NAVISTAR as a Spotter for 33yrs and retired in 2005. He was an avid NASCAR fan and his favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt Sr., loved trains and mostly loved spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving relatives four sons Christopher Crooks of Marion, Robert (Tammy) Crooks of Columbia City, David (Cassandra) Jr. and Patrick Crooks of FW, two daughters Diana (Kenny) Hoffman of FW, Margaret Crooks of Springfield, OH, 16 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren one brother Roger (Rhonda) Crooks of Churubusco, one sister Barbara Kirkpatrick of Albion, caretaker Mary Buckhardt of Churubusco. He was preceded in death by his wife Cynthia A. Crooks on April 22, 2011, two grandchildren Payton and Llian, brother Patrick Lynn Crooks in 1985.
