David Gordon

David Gordon, 62, of South Whitley, passed away on October 4, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center. He was born on December 9, 1962, in Canton, OH. David was a hardworking individual who never shied away from a challenge. He was a proud graduate of Churubusco High School. David spent his professional years as a Heavy Equipment Operator at Levy, retiring earlier this year. A genuine "go-getter", his indomitable spirit and vigor were truly admirable. David was a man of many hobbies, which included racing garden tractors, fishing, boating, trail riding on his three-wheeler, and riding Harleys. He also had a particular fondness for visiting the sand dunes. In 2006, he married Tina, with whom he shared many of these adventures. David is survived by his wife, Tina Gordon; his father, David Gordon; and his brother, Larry Gordon. He was preceded in death by his mother, Deloris Gordon. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel, with calling one hour prior to the service. The family will also receive friends and family at the funeral home on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Burial will take place in the Eel River Cemetery.
