David Prescott

David Asa Prescott, 69, of Huntertown, passed away on September 17, 2019, at Parkview Hospital Randallia. Born in Haverhill, NH, on November 3, 1949, to the late Leonard K. and Barbara (Brown) Prescott. After the death of his mother, he was a raised by his father and adoptive mother Dottie, he spent his formative years in Littleton, NH, graduating from Littleton High School. He served his country in the Unites States Army during the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1975. David was married to Suzan Moody in Fort Wayne, on September 13, 1980. He worked as a diesel mechanic for Ruckman's Truck Center, retiring after 40 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, cooking and front porch sitting with his neighbors, Ted and Ed. He followed IU sports and the Indianapolis Colts. He cherished time with his grand babies. David is survived by his wife, Suzan Prescott; two daughters, Windi (Dana) Gagne and Kathy (Troy) Gouwens; two sons, Lee (Sarah) Prescott and Brent (Kylie) Prescott; three sisters, Cindy (Pat) O'Neill, Gayle (Terry) Corum and Shand Wentworth; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson. He is preceded in death by a sister, Judy Kay. Memorial gathering will take place at the Life House Church on Old Lima Road (HUMC), on Sunday, September 22, 2019, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Military Rites will follow the gathering at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorials to Cancer Services of N.E.
