David Zeigler

David L. Zeigler, 71, of Churubusco, passed away at 7:48 pm on Monday, May 5, 2014 at his home in rural Churubusco. Mr. Zeigler was born on February 19, 1943 in Wolf Lake, a son of Clarence and Bernice (Deem) Zeigler. He spent his formative years in Churubusco, and graduated from Churubusco High School in 1961. On October 5, 1968 he was married in Merriam to Bonnie Shambaugh. After high school he Served in the Air National Guard for seven years. He was a Whitley County Farmer and worked at International Harvester for 21 years. Mr. Zeigler attended Sugar Grove Church of God. The surviving relatives include wife, Bonnie Zeigler of Churubusco; his children Matthew (Julie) Zeigler of Logansport, Julie (Greg) Hubbart of New Haven, and Mark (Melissa) Zeigler of Columbia City; a brother, William (Rosemary) Berry of Churubusco; eight grandchildren In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Weaver. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, with Pastor Timothy Grable, officiating. The family will receive friends at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, or one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Eel River Cemetery, Allen County. For those who wish, memorials may be directed to Bear Lake Camp or Sugar Grove Church of God. ***********************************
