Delmar Fick

Delmar Dean Fick, 79, a resident of Fort Wayne, went to his heavenly home on Thursday, November 5, 2009, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.e He had been taken there from the Bethlehem Woods Nursing Center. Mr. Fick was born in Arcola on April 12, 1930, the son of Ella [Thiele]Fick and the late Louis Fick.e Delmar was a 1948 graduate of Arcola High School, and was a lifetime member of St. John's Lutheran Church-Lake Township. He was a 55 year member of Local 305 IBEW, and ended his 40 year career as an electrician. The surviving relatives include his three daughters Sandra [Steven] Ritenour and Bonnie [Mark] Langohr, both of Fort Wayne, and Kelly [Robert] Dye of Fort Myers, Fla; his mother Ella Fick of Fort Wayne; a brother Richard D. Fick of Fort Wayne; his sister Jean Bosserman of Fort Wayne; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother Willard P. Fick in 1960. Due to the renovation of his home church, funeral services will be held at 3 p. m. on Tuesday, November 10, 2009, at First Assembly of God, 1400 W. Washington Center Road, with Pastor Ralph Easterhaus, officiating. The family will receive friends at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco on Monday from 2 to 7 p. m., or at the church one hour prior to the service Tuesday afternoon. Interment will be in Covington Memorial Gardens in Fort Wayne.
