Denise Ramsey

Denise Marie Ramsey, 60, of Collins, passed away on October 6, 2020, at her home. Born in Fort Wayne, on April 13, 1960, to Donald and Rosemary (Minnich) Konger. She spent her formative years in Churubusco, graduating from Carroll High School in 1978. Denise was married to her best friend, Mark Ramsey at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ege, on May 9, 1981. Throughout high school Denise worked at Shelton's (Egolfs) IGA, where her connection to the community began. Later she worked at Churubusco State Bank, which deepened her community spirit. For the last 21 years she has worked as a retail bank officer for Lake City Bank. Denise always strived to learn more, so she could help others. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ege. Although Denise enjoyed her crafting and vacations, her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren. Denise will be remembered for her great strength, her steadfast faith and her belief that God has a plan. Denise is survived by her husband of 39 years, Mark Ramsey; her mother, Rosemary Konger; three children, Nichole (Matthew) Nichter, Alicia (Brandy Martel) Ramsey and Joshua Ramsey; her two brothers, Steve (Kathy) Konger and Tim (Lisa) Konger; her four sisters, Brenda (Scott) Reynolds, Cammy (Mike) Smith, Lisa Greenway and Sheila (Chris) Falloon; her seven grandchildren, Madison, Brayden, AJ, Bryce, Brady, Malachi and Lilly. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Konger. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ege, on Monday, October 12, 2020, at 10:00 a.m., with calling from 9:00 a.m., to 9:45 a.m., at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home. The family will also receive friends on Sunday, October 11, 2020, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., with the Holy Rosary to be recited after calling. Burial taking place at Ege Catholic Cemetery, Ege.
