Dianna Kay Hazen, 76, of Churubusco, passed away surrounded by her family on June 21, 2026, to be with Jesus.
She was born in Marion on January 26, 1950. Dianna was the beloved daughter of loving parents and a proud graduate of Marion High School, Class of 1968.
In the early 1970's, she made her home in Churubusco, where she became an integral part of the community. In 1998, Dianna married her love, whom she lovingly called "Honey," Huey Hazen, and with whom she shared many joyful years. She was known for her spicy yet deep caring spirit, always eager to help those around her. Dianna spent several years as a secretary at Aqua Tech, where she was respected and cherished by her colleagues.
Dianna also owned and operated the Lucky Lady bar in Churubusco, where many lovingly claimed her as their own and called her Mom or Lady Di. She created a welcoming space where many found friendship and support. A genuine people person, she had an uncanny ability to "meet people where they were at," never judging, always providing encouragement and understanding to those who crossed her path. Some called her their biggest cheerleader. Her warm heart and vibrant personality, which often stole the show and made her love to sing karaoke, left a lasting imprint on the lives of those she encountered.
She is survived by her loving husband, Huey Hazen; her devoted daughter, Melissa (Brad Right) Rennaker; her caring son, Paul Michael Rennaker; her beloved sisters, Sue Ann "Minnie" Jacks, Dixie Ilean (Dave) Montgomery, and Peggy Lynn (Lee) Brent; her cherished grandchildren, Paul, Andrew, Joseph, Abigail, Joshua, and Sean (Kris); her great-grandson, Branson; her precious cats, Woody and Molly that brought her so much joy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar (Phyllis) Stinger, Wilma (Kelly "Buster") Lane, and her grandson, Michael Rennaker.
