Dolores Roe

Dolores M. Roe, 93, of Churubusco, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at her home. She was born in Waynedale on August 9, 1929, to the late Frank and Lesta (Heiser) Gibson. She spent her formative years in Waynedale. Dolores married Robert J. Roe on April 7, 1951. After she was married, the couple settled in Fort Wayne. He preceded her in death on February 12, 1980. She worked at Sears in the cafeteria for several years. She also worked at Cover All Uniform and then at Harvester in the cafeteria. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. Dolores is survived by her two sons, Gregory Roe and Jeffrey (Lucretia) Roe; a sister, Faye Taylor; three grandchildren, Jared Roe, Jason Roe, and Jennifer (Steve) Crooks; three great-granddaughters, Payton, Rylee, and Hanna. In addition to her parents and spouse, she was preceded in death by 11 siblings. Funeral Services will be held at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel, on Monday, January 2, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be directed to St. John Bosco Catholic Church for Masses.
