Donald Fry

Donald L. Fry, 87, of Churubusco, passed away on December 1, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center. He was born on January 27, 1938, in Fort Wayne, to the late James W. and Ethel M. (Graves) Fry. He graduated from Arcola High School in 1956. Don married Roxane L. Smith on August 20, 1988, in Churubusco. He worked at Pilsbury Warehouse as a forklift driver for 15 years, a truck driver with the Teamsters Union 414 for 30 years, and at Dana Corp in Syracuse as a CNC operator for 10 years, retiring in 2003. He was a member of the Churubusco Church of the Nazarene. He loved to show horses, and did so for many, many years. Don is survived by his wife, Roxane; daughter, Tina (Tim) Herendeen; son, DG Fry; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James F. Fry, and his daughter, Kimalee Fry. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, December 8, 2025, at Sheets and Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel, with calling one hour prior. The family will also receive friends on Sunday, December 7, 2025, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be in Eel River Cemetery, Churubusco.
