Donald Herron

Donald Herron Jr., 57, of Churubusco, passed away at 4:01 a.m. on Friday, October 21, 2016 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Mr. Herron was born on June 16, 1959 in Columbia City, a son of Donald R. and Gail (Stoops) Herron, Sr. He spent his formative years in Churubusco, and graduated from Churubusco High School in 1977. He was a lifelong cabinet maker and owned and operated Herron Cabinet. Mr. Herron was a member of the C City Bass Anglers and served as a past president. The surviving relatives include his two brothers, Anthony E. (Lea Ann) Herron of Churubusco and Nicholas D. (Lisa) Herron of Waterloo; 10 nieces and nephews and 20 great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, with Pastor Rick Van Horn, officiating. The family will receive friends at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday. For those who wish, memorials may be directed to C City Bass Anglers.
