Donald Wies

Donald Paul Wies, 93, of Huntertown, passed away on November 19, 2020, at his residence. Born September 28, 1927, in Fort Wayne, to the late Joseph C. and Beulah (Starkel) Wies. Donald served in the U.S. Navy from 1946-1951. He married Neoma "Dolly" McCormick. She preceded him in death on April 19, 2004. Donald was a member of the North Webster American Legion Post 253, 4-H Allen County, Horse and Pony Leader and Good SAM Member. Before the passing of Neoma "Dolly", the couple loved to travel and show horses. He worked at Joslyn Steel in Fort Wayne as a crane follower for over 30 years. Donald is survived by one daughter, Sandra (Gary) Warner; one son, Rick (Cathy) Wies; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Doris Markley. He was preceded in death by a son, Donald Wies Jr. in 2016; two brothers, Larry and Joe Wies; a sister, Jeanette Markley. The family will be having a private service.
