Donna Hibbs

Donna R. Hibbs, 77, of Churubusco, passed away at 9:15 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Mrs. Hibbs was born on January 5, 1938 in New Amsterdam, a daughter of Floyd and Evaleen (Voyles) Froman. On April 17, 1954 she was married in New Amsterdam, Indiana to Devillo "Jack" Hibbs. She was employed at Dana, in Columbia City, and retired on October 10, 2006. The surviving relatives include her husband, Devillo "Jack" Hibbs of Churubusco; six daughters, Janet (Loyd) Flener of Chesnee, SC, Jackie (Dave) Folk of Tennyson, Joyce (Ed) Dauscher of Columbia City, Julia (Cliff) Gaff of Albion, Jeni Speidell of Fort Wayne, and Casandra (Jody) Simmons of Battle Ground; two sons, John Hibbs of Churubusco and Jeff (Sandi) Hibbs of Cromwell; two brothers, Bill (Donna) Froman and David (Jean) Froman both of Corydon; a sister, Marilyn (Chris) Clee of Boyertown, PA; 32 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son James Hibbs (June 30 ,2015), a granddaughter Maria Flener, a sister Crystal Froman, and a brother Floyd Froman, Jr. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, with Pastor Robert Siegrist, officiating. The family will receive friends at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, or one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Eel River Cemetery, Allen County.
