Donna Misener

Donna J. Misener, 57, a resident of Fort Wayne and a native of Lake Township, passed away at 4:30 p. m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at Covington Manor in Fort Wayne. She had been in failing health since November. Ms. Misener was born on October 14, 1955 in Fort Wayne, a daughter of George R. and Beatrice (Benson) Misener, and spent her formative years in Lake Township. She had been employed most of her adult life as a Certified Nursing Assistant, and retired from Community Home Health Care in Fort Wayne after over ten years. The surviving relatives include a brother William (Phyllis) Misener of Fort Wayne; three sisters Brenda Kessler of Columbia City, Bernice Burget of Fort Wayne, and Georgette Magner of Churubusco; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents George R. Misener and Beatrice Wixson. Funeral services will be held at 11 a. m. on Friday, May 10, 2013, at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco with Chaplain Britney Sloffer, officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 5 to 8 p. m., or one hour prior to the service Friday morning. Interment will be in the Eel River Cemetery, south of Churubusco.
