Donna Stanford

Donna Jean Stanford, 71, a resident of Fort Wayne and widow of Michael Patrick Stanford, passed away at 4:20 p. m. on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at the St. Anne Home in Fort Wayne following an extended illness. Mrs. Stanford was born in Fort Wayne on November 7, 1938, a daughter of Orvel W.e and Viola B. (Drewery)e Puryear.e She was a lifelong resident of Fort Wayne, and graduated from Central Catholic High School. She was married to Michael Patrick Stanford, who preceded her in death in 1997.e A homemaker, she was a member of the ladies auxiliaries of the Moose Lodge and American Legion Post 499. The surviving relatives include her sons and daughters-in-law Patrick M. and Tonya Stanford of Churubusco and Michael P. and Sherri Stanford, Jr. of Fort Wayne; a brother and sister-in-law Louis and Christine Krock of LaOtto; a half-sister Gail; and six grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother Ronald Krock. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p. m. on Tuesday, May 25, 2010, in the chapel at the St. Anne Home, 1900 Randallia Drive, Fort Wayne, with Father Jack Overmyer, the celebrant. The family will receive friends at the chapel after 12 noon on Tuesday until the hour of the service.e Women of the Moose will conduct memorial services at 1:30 p. m. Tuesday in the chapel. Interment will be in the Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
