Doris Rigsby

D. Eldora Rigsby, 92, a resident of Fort Wayne formerly of Churubusco passed away at 6:03 a.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Parkview Randallia. Born on December 19, 1925 in Rome City. She was the only daughter of Rollo and Gladys (Conley) Eagleson. She spent her formative years in Rome City and graduated from Wolcottville High School. She was married on February 9, 1946 to James R. Rigsby. He preceded her in death on April 7, 1971. Eldora retired from North American Van Lines, Fort Wayne in 1998. She also operated the restaurant at Fortmeyer's Truck Stop. She enjoyed gardening, embroidery and loved her family. She was a loving and giving person with a strong work ethic. Eldora is survived by a step-son, James (Jean) Rigsby; six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter, Lorena Dohm; two sons, Dewey Rigsby and Judd Rigsby. Calling will take place at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on Sunday, January 28, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Services will begin at 5:00 PM, at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on Sunday, January 28, 2018. Burial will follow at Eel River Cemetery, Allen County.
