Dorothy Conner

Dorothy L. Conner, 75, of Churubusco, passed away at 1:00 am on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at North Ridge Village Nursing Home in Albion. Mrs. Conner was born on May 8, 1939 in Missouri, a daughter of Dennis Lee and Dorothy (Pinkerton) Sagee. On June 27, 1963 she was married in Churubusco to Richard Lee Conner. Mrs. Conner spent her adult life as an Air Force wife traveling. She helped with the family business. Even when she was busy she always had time for her children and attending to their needs. She was always a "Mom" to any team or club that her children participated in. Mr. Conner preceded her in death on February 20, 2008. The surviving relatives include two daughters, Shawn L. (Michael) Hartmann and Julie A. (Estill) Stratton both of Churubusco; a son, Steve E. Conner of Churubusco; a brother, Don L. (Candy Willard) Sagee of Forest Hill, TX; six grandchildren, Sami Hartmann, Danielle Hartmann, Cheyenne Conner, Shayla Stratton, Derek Stratton, and Tyler Stratton. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Denny, Del, and Douglas Sagee. Memorial services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Christ Community Church, 8475 E. U.S. 33 Churubusco with Pastor Rick Van Horn, officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. For those who wish, memorials may be directed to Christ Community Church.
