Dorthy Scheurich

Dorthy Ann Scheurich, 75, of Avilla, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2020, at Parkview North Hospital. Born in Fort Wayne, on July 17, 1944, to the late Virgil and Alma (Shull) Bowers. She spent her formative years in Churubusco, graduating from Churubusco High School in 1962. Dorthy was married to William Scheurich at the Hopewell Presbyterian Church in Avilla, on June 8, 1962. William preceded her in death on March 20, 2020. She worked as a packer for Dana Corp., Churubusco, for 37 years, retiring in 2006. Dorthy is survived by two sons, Christopher Scheurich and Troy Scheurich; five grandchildren, Stephanie and Stacie Scheurich, Kayla Delaplain, Shalana Dodson and Charissa Delaplain; one great-grandson, Jaxson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Robert Bowers. Private family services will be held at this time. Burial taking place at Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam.
