Ed Hatch

Edward J. Hatch, 77, of Huntertown, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at Kingston Care Center in Fort Wayne. He was born in Fort Wayne on September 30, 1947, to the late Floyd and Mary (Schroff) Hatch. He spent his formative years in Huntertown on the family farm and graduated from Huntertown High School. Following high school, Ed joined the United States Navy and served for 22 years, including serving during the Vietnam War. Following his service, he returned to Huntertown to become a plumber and help on the family farm. Ed was a lifetime member of the Life House Church in Huntertown. Ed is survived by many cousins. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Huntertown Chapel with calling one hour prior. Burial will take place in the Huntertown Cemetery at a later date with Military honors. Memorials may be directed to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana. Sheets & Childs Funeral Home has been entrusted with these arrangements.
