Edna Dafforn

Edna Kathleen (Moudy) Dafforn, 98, of Arcola, passed away at 1:00 am on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Edna was born on September 20, 1915 in Leo, a daughter of Roy and Mahala (Moss) Moudy. She graduated from Leo High School in 1933. On March 21, 1935 she was married to Raymond L. Dafforn. In addition to being a homemaker she worked for the Allen Co Auditor office, and retired after 15 years. Edna was a long time member of Arcola United Methodist Church, and attended St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne. She enjoyed reading her Bible, gardening, quilting, and baking, and especially spending time with her family. The surviving relatives include children - Fay (the late Howard) Felger of Arcola, Derald (Alberta "Lea") Dafforn of Henderson, NV, Kathy (Dan) Sheehan of Monroeville, and Nancy (the late Paul) Zeigler of Wolf Lake; 14 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years on July 2, 1989 also by a daughter Teryl Jean d'Smith'p; two sisters - Dorothy Shaffer and Ilo Springer; a brother, Ralph W Moudy and a grandson Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco, with Pastor Dale Henderson, officiating. The family will receive friends at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Sunday, or one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Eel River Cemetery, Allen County, Indiana. For those who wish, memorials may be directed to Arcola United Methodist Church or St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne. **************************
