Edwin Gordon

Edwin L. Gordon, 80, of Huntertown, passed away at 11:55 p.m. on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Mr. Gordon was born on June 11, 1935 in Allen County, a son of Herbert and Wanda (Strite) Gordon. He spent his formative years in Churubusco, and graduated from Churubusco High School in 1953. After high school he serviced in the United States Army. On June 13, 1980 he was married to Victoria (Felger) Spangler. He was employed at C&A Tools, and retired as an Engineer. The surviving relatives include wife, Vickie Gordon of Huntertown; four sons, Nick (Juanita) Gordon of Churubusco, Jeffery (Michelle) Gordon of Montpelier, Dean Spangler of Huntertown, and Dennis (Mary) Spangler of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Kristina (Steve) Bohata of Ossian; a brother, Scott (Pamela) Gordon of Churubusco; 16 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Wanda (Strite) Gordon; two brothers, Franklin and Richard Gordon; a daughter Zania L. Gordon; a granddaughter, Kelsey L. Gordon; a grandson, Bradley J. Spangler. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 pm Thursday at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, with Pastor Ken Keener, officiating. Followed by Military Rites The family will receive friends at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Thursday.
