Eileen V. Rennecker, 82, of Whitley County,e passed away at 6:55 pm on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at the Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. Mrs. Rennecker was born on April 14, 1930 in Hampshire, England, a daughter of Fredrick Charles and Bessie (Dunning) Holmes. She spent her formative years in Hampshire, and graduated from Fairfield Senior in 1944. In her teen she witnessed the battle of Britain from her backyard. On February 8, 1947 she was married in Basingstoke, England at the age of 16 to Alfred S. Hutton, and moved from Hampshire, England to Indiana where she had lived since 1947. She was employed at Byron Health Center and assisted her daughter Linda at the Watering Can for over 30 years. Mrs. Rennecker was a member of First Eel River Baptist Church, south of Churubusco,e where she used her decorating skills to insure the church was always ready for any type of service with fresh flowers. Mrs. Rennecker enjoyed sewing, gardening, flower arranging, puzzles, and going to Shipshewana. Her first husband Alfred preceded her in death in 1975.e She is also proceeded in death by her second husband Richard Rennecker in 1981. The surviving relatives include three daughters - Linda (Dennis) Reiling of Churubusco, Cynthia Fahl of Larwill, and Laura (Tim) Beucler of Columbia City; two sons - Steven (Vicki) Hutton of Leo and Barry Hutton of Largo, FL; four sisters - Phyllis Hellstone of Basingstoke, England, Barbra Geary of Sturminster Newton, England, Sylvia Kingston of Basingstoke, England, and Shirley (Gilbert) Provis of Treochy Rhondda Glam, Wales; four brothers - Cyril (Joy) Holmes of Kingston, England, Geoffrey Holmes of Basingstoke, England, Robert (Vivian, Barbra) Holmes of Basingstoke, England, and Mervyn Holmes of Basingstoke England; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sisters Bessie Elzey and Winifred Irene Cook. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 ame Tuesday at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco with Pastor Glen Frances, officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral homee from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, or one hour prior to the service Tuesday morning. Burial will be in the Eel River Cemetery, Allen County.
