Elaine K. Cearbaugh, 77, of Churubusco, who went to be with the Lord on February 21, 2024, at Parkview Regional Medical Center. She was born on February 11, 1947, in Noble County, to the late Francis and Marilyn (Tulley) Owen. She spent her formative years in Avilla and graduated from Avilla High School. Elaine spent the majority of her life in Churubusco, where she made a loving home for her family. Elaine was a devoted wife, having married Larry Wayne Cearbaugh on March 24, 1967, in Green Center. She gave her heart and soul to her family and home, creating a warm and welcoming place for all who knew her. Elaine was a passionate homemaker who took joy in nurturing her loved ones, growing beautiful flowers in her yard, and collecting Hankies and blown glass. She also enjoyed going to old car related events with family and friends and loved going to garage sales. These hobbies brought her much joy and satisfaction, and she took great pride in sharing her passions with others. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Larry Cearbaugh; her children, Tina Gray, Kary (Mar-reina) Cearbaugh, and Alicia (Kevin) Davis; her sister, Sharol Fowler; her three grandchildren, Ashley, Camoren, and Jada. A graveside service will be held at St. Matthew Cemetery on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be directed to the American Alzheimer's Assocation. Sheets & Childs Funeral Home has been entrusted with these arrangements.
